We are continuing to work on the process of creating an argument using textual evidence. Today, we worked on the graphic organizer to define our claim and identify reason (3), textual evidence(3), explanation (3), rebuttal, and closure.
This graphic organizer/outline is due tomorrow, Thursday, October 18.
Reminder that we have the SAT 5 quiz on Friday and that Newsela assignments are due on Sunday.
October 15, 2018 Update
We are continuing to work on presenting an argument on the subject of Athletes’ Salaries through creating a T-Chart. We will then move on to the Argumentative CER outline and building an Argumentative CER.
Two new articles have been assigned on Newsela for this week. The assignments for each are due by Sunday, October 21. Please read the instructions on Newsela carefully.
SAT 5 quiz is on Friday and now counts as a Summative score so make sure you are ready. Push yourself by studying and taking the extension quiz.
Grades have been updated. Please review and see me if there are any discrepancies.
