Students took the quiz over the Mythology Presentations. We discussed the reading of “Prometheus” from yesterday’s class paying special attention to perspective, conflict, and the elements of mythology. Focus was on making sense of the language and using the text to propel the classroom discussion.
Greek Root words #2 was checked in for a grade. The key was shared with students so as to compare meaning and words.

Due to my absence today the quiz over the presentations was rescheduled for tomorrow. I will also be checking the Greek Roots #2 worksheet.
We finished presentations today over Mythological phrases/terms. You will have a quiz over the presentations tomorrow. Make sure to review your notes. The exam will be about 10-14 questions and you will have to match the word/phrase to its meaning, mythological reference, etc.,

If you were absent on 2/14 (last Thursday) please make sure to come in during lunch tomorrow to make up the quiz over Greek Roots #1.
We continued working through our Mythology topics for the presentations. You will get 15 minutes to pull it all together before we begin presentations. Please make sure you look over the assignment sheet and the rubric one more time to make sure you are fulfilling all the requirements.

Continued working through introduction to Mythology and finished the guided notes in class. I will be checking the Greek root word worksheet tomorrow in class as for some classes there wasn’t an opportunity to do so today.
We will continue working on our research for your Mythology assignment with your partners.
Tomorrow we will have library visit so make sure you have your stories with you.
Today, we started a new unit on Mythology. Students received the Greek Root word worksheet to complete in class. Any portion that is incomplete must be done for homework. Note that you must provide at least 2 words in the Example box and define each. There is a quiz over the root words next Thursday, February 14th.
The presentation over Mythology is below. Cut and paste into the address box to access it. Once you access it, you must complete your guided notes sheet.

For 3rd, 4th, and 6th, the root word wk.sheet and the notes are due on Wednesday.
For 1st hour, your root word worksheet is due on Thursday. The notes on Mythology should already be completed.
Stations packet for “Zebra” was collected today in its entirety. Anyone who turns it in tomorrow will receive late credit for it.
