Vocabulary quiz & Novel quiz on Friday

We are continuing to  read Legend  in class.  I  highly suggest you order your own copy of the novel as it will help with you re-visiting passages, highlighting and annotating.

The link has not been opening so I will try to walk you through it:

Google – enter the following subject:  Legend by Marie Lu audiobook

When the results come up, choose the first audio (visual) that has 7:48:59 as its time

When you get there don’t listen to that one because that starts at a different point in the novel, scroll down to comments and choose the time 5:48:00 under wamazing, it will then start you on chapter 1 (good luck!)  The quiz is up to 6:50:20 which is page 41 so for those of you who have missed any class, make sure your listen to 5:48:00-6:50:20.   If you want to catch up to your class below are the specific times:

1st:  6:50:00

3rd: 7:17:32

4th 7:28:28

6th 7:24:08

Tomorrow we will be visiting the library so please have your book to return.

Reading NWEA testing will begin on Monday, May 13, 2018 in ELA class.

May 7, 2019

We started reading Legend  in class today (except for 1st hour – we will begin tomorrow). We will continue to read the novel in class.  If possible, I highly suggest you order your own copy of the novel as it will help with you re-visiting passages, highlighting and annotating.  All classes completed research on dystopia/characteristics of a dystopian novel and discussed.  A handout with information on characteristics of a dystopian novel was distributed for students to read tonight.  Make sure you read this!

Be ready for M-step ELA tomorrow by resting up and getting a good breakfast.  You will do great and are ready.

Note that we will begin our next unit soon and will be reading a class novel:  “Legend”.  I highly suggest that you purchase your own copy of the novel through Amazon or a local bookstore. Having your own copy will allow you to highlight and annotate.

Please look over your grades and create a plan of how you will move forward.  There will be ample opportunities to improve; however, you must show dedication and follow through.  Let’s make the best of what is left of the term.  See me if you have any questions.
