Welcome to a new school year! I look forward to a great year ahead.
Updates for this week:
- Summer assignment (SSR) is due on Friday, September 6. Please make sure to review and add more information where needed. See me if you need my input. We will schedule book talks next week.
- Please make sure you have your notebook, binder, highlighters, pens/pencils with you so that we can begin getting organized.
- We will continue to work on annotations this week as we move from Langston Hugh’s poem, a “Dream Deferred” to his short story, “Thank you M’am). I have closely modeled annotation guidelines and distributed the book mark to be used for the remainder of the school year. We will work on our first writing sample this week and through next week.
- NWEA-Reading is scheduled for next week.
