Students have worked on writing linear equations from given information and from given contexts. The identification of x and y intercepts along with slope and direction of the line are important results of our learning in the current unit of study.
Students should be able to answer the following questions:
- What is the difference between a positive and a negative slope?
- What key words indicate that the number is related to slope?
- What key words indicate that the number is related to the starting value or y-intercept?
- How do I graph this information?
