Yesterday I adjusted dates on Readworks so your child can go in and read any assignment on any day. Remind them to hit Submit at the very bottom of the answer page so I can see their answers.

I’m also going to have a Google Meet for the students tomorrow. I’ll post the details tomorrow morning. I’d like to have one each week so the children can see and talk to their friends again.

Take care and I hope all of you and your families are safe and healthy.

Good morning everyone 🙂 It is Spirit Week at Henry Ford 🙂

Please post pics if you’d like of your children dressed for the daily theme!

Continue to have your children go daily to Readworks and Zearn in addition to the other fun sites on my Clever page. I know you’ll be starting the 3rd week of the posted lesson plans but you can do any of the days lessons on any day. We’ll be adding more after Spring Break and I’ll keep you posted.

As always, I’m here to help you through this as best I can. Feel free to contact me anytime either by email or a Dojo message.

Happy Friday everyone 🙂 I hope all of you are doing well under these continued difficult circumstances. I see the students who are working on Zearn and reading the Readworks articles daily. Keep up the good work 🙂 Don’t forget that the Readworks articles can be read to your child either by you or someone else. They don’t have to read them by themselves. There is also a speaker icon so the computer can read the articles to them. That’s why we chose Readworks. I know some of the articles are a bit harder for students to read, but I like the computer reading to them option.
I don’t want to overwhelm you with website options but as other teachers share sites with me, I share them with you just for more choices for your child.
I know we’re all doing the best we can. I miss the students, my teacher friends, and the daily school routine–but I do like sleeping in, lol :))
Students, please keep writing me emails or note here. I love reading them!
Enjoy your weekend and as always, don’t hesitate to ask a question and I’ll do my best to help.

Hello 🙂

I added another choice for Listen to Reading. It is on my Clever page and I labeled it Listen to Reading/Scholastic. There are 2 different choices and they are next to each other. I hope you enjoy them!

HFES Families can call 313-451-1766 as the temporary school number during this time. Leave a voice or text message from 9am-4pm & assistance will be provided.

You can text photos or videos of your child working from home to 313-451-1766 to share on our building social media. We want to celebrate HFES Broncos learning!

Good Snowy Monday Families 🙂

I’ve been thinking about all of you and your families and hope everyone is doing well.

Please continue to have your children do some academic school work daily Monday-Friday. We need to keep them engaged and using this time to explore new topics to learn about. Don’t forget about some recess fun too 🙂 Perhaps you’re playing new games and getting outside in the backyard to play.

Things continue to change daily here in Michigan but the schools are here to help how-ever we can. I may be adding some new things on Clever for your child and family to explore. If anyone finds other websites you think other families will find helpful or enjoy, please let me know and I’ll add it.

Please tell your children hello from me and let them know I miss them 🙂

Please continue to check the district website for updates.

Happy First Day of Spring!

Thank you all so very much for your understanding as we all work through this unusual situation. Some are still having trouble with the Read Works website log in. Here is the class code: 3RDYSC and the password is 1234. But, if you can’t log on then just continue to find other books and stories to read.

Please also use the iLearn Student Portal to have your child find my course so they can read the Benchmark Advance books and play the phonics games. I’ve uploaded many books and games for them to use 🙂 We’ve done this in class so they should be able to find things.

Don’t forget to get outside to walk or play for a bit each day.
