100th Day of School is tomorrow

Now that we’re home once again, if you’re looking for something to do with your child/children, here’s an idea.

Tomorrow is day 100 of school so, if they’d like to get creative and take 100 of something found around the house: noodles, beans, cereal pieces, stickers, paperclips, etc. They can make a picture or a design using those 100 pieces. I’ve had some very creative projects in the past 🙂 You can glue onto a piece of construction paper or just regular paper, a side of an empty cereal box or shoe box. Anything will work! I have had students even draw 100 of a design if they didn’t have glue or anything to use at home.

Some have glued 10 rows of 10 to make 100. Others have used those 100 to make a picture of some kind. I’ve had students spell their name then add a design with the rest of the 100 pieces.

This fits in with our math unit and is a fun way to practice counting 10 groups of 10 to make sure you have 100 then getting creative!

Have fun and I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with when you bring your creation to school  🙂
