So wonderful to see sunshine!
This week’s spelling words: roar, board, chore, snore, wore. Dolch words: done, been, take, laugh, eight.
We’re continuing our non fiction reading strategy of reading for facts and information using both photos and text, including captions.
We’re also continuing reading about our animals and finding facts.
The skill in math this week is using measurement to compare lengths: If a pencil is 6 cm. long and a paperclip is 3 cm, how much longer is the pencil? How much shorter is the paperclip?
We’re also continuing with our history unit in social studies and looking at change over time in houses and roads in a community. For example, roads went from dirt roads (for walking only), wagon trails, brick roads to paved roads.
Enjoy the week 🙂
