Welcome to week 10 of distance learning, truck drivers! Join us at 11:00 for our morning meetings this week besides Wednesday. We will not have a morning meeting that day as I will be working at Nowlin. All links for every assignment are placed in Google Classroom. Complete the check-in on Tuesday. 

This week:

Math- Fill your Reflex Math donut 3 times during the week.  You have 5 new assignments on Khan Academy that need to be completed. One of these assignments is a quiz. Use the video tutorials and the tools there to help you if you are stuck. If you did not complete the assignments from last week, they are added onto this week’s work. You may redo the assignments until you get a score you like. For the assignment to count, you have to have a passing score in each assignment by the end of the week.  We are only doing Reflex and Khan. We are NOT working in Zearn right now (100pts total)

Writing- Complete 4 Quill assignments assigned to you. These are pass/fail. If you complete the activities, the score is “pass”, if you never finish 4 assignments, the score is “fail.”

Writing- Complete the POTW titled “One Hundred Years Old” and publish it by Friday on the blank Google Doc in the assignment. Also complete 2 Quill Assignments.

Social Studies– Many students asked for extra time on this assignment so if you already finished, you have no social studies this week. If you didn’t finish, complete it this week because there will not be any more extensions. Read Chapter 2- section 4 and 5 (page 77-92) Answer the questions for the sections we have read so far. If you completed the questions the first week, you do not need to do them again.(20 pts)

Science- Complete the Mystery Science mystery called “Why do biceps bulge by watching the video, reading from the Mystery Science page and answering the questions in the Google Form.

Reading- If you completed the questions for Edward Tulane as assigned last week, you have free choice of reading this week for your daily 25 minutes. If you did not do your reading assignment, you have until Friday to finish the question set or the “0” will stay in the grade book. Read the first 4 chapters of Edward Tulane, one of our new books. At the end of chapter 4, answer the question set in Google Classroom about those chapters. Watch for a discussion either live or in a Flipgrid at the end of the week.

Welcome to week 5 of distance learning scientists! We will have daily morning meetings at 11:00. Attendance will be taken at the beginning and the end of each morning meeting. Writing- Complete the paragraph of the week titled How to Deal with a Bully. 15 pts Have it published no later than Friday. Complete two lessons on Quill.org based on your pre-assessment. 10 pts

Social Studies– Read Chapter 2- section 2 and 3 (page 70-76) and check the questions on the Google Doc. Answer any questions covered in these two sections. These questions will be due at the end of the chapter. (20 pts)

Science- This week you have an extension problem to wrap up our studies of the Earth’s processes. Complete a Google Slide show showing me what you understand about the types of rocks on the Earth and how erosion impacts them. (12 pts)

Reading- 25 Minutes of reading to self every day. Complete the two assignments on Freckle ELA.

Illustrate your favorite scene on a piece of computer paper. Draw a photo of each of the main characters also on sheets on blank paper.
