Good morning! This Wednesday, 10/12/22 is a late start for students. It is hard to believe but we are about 2 weeks away from the first report cards being turned in. If your student is missing lots of work in Schoology, students have until Friday to get it submitted. Please have them take you to the ELA course in Schoology and take you to their grade book. You can also have them click the Dearborn Schools icon in the upper left corner of Schoology and their late work will show up on the left. After this Friday, I will not have time to grade late work and get it submitted in time. If you have questions, please let me know.

ELA- We are focusing on character traits and understanding the motivation behind a character’s choices. Reading groups will continue to meet each day.

Writing- We are currently working on writing an opinion piece. This week we will be planning our writing and working on pulling evidence to support our opinions.

Math- We just started module 2 which is metric conversions. We are going to continue to practice converting metric measurements to other metric measurements.

Science- We are working on the human body unit. We are in the middle of building eye models and learning how the nervous and muscular systems work together to help make our vision possible.

Social Studies- We are working on the geography of the USA. We have broken the US down into regions and continue to learn about those regions.
