I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. This is a busy week at Nowlin. All Yankee Candle fundraisers are due Friday. Wednesday evening is our Literacy Night. There will be games and activities so be sure to come by and join in the fun. Thursday after school at 3:40 is our Parent Information Meeting on MSTEP. If you would like more information on the testing your student will have in the weeks following Spring Break, please stop by the media center. Permission slips for the April 10th field trip are due by Friday. Friday is also the end of the marking period so all work sent home to fix and all projects are due by Thursday.

Writing- We are writing spring break narratives and focusing on changing overused words to better choices, during the revising stage of writing.

Social Studies- We will have our government test this week. Look for study guides to come home.

Science- We will be finishing up our changes in the earth unit sometime towards the end of the week. A study guide and test will come home.

Daily 5- We are working on learning to close reading articles with a purpose. We are also learning to annotate as we read to help with notetaking and homework.

Have a great week!
