Week of 11-26-18

Welcome back! I hope everyone had at least a little time to spend with family and friends while relaxing. We are going to be off and running first thing today and we have pretty hefty goals to accomplish before our Winter Break in just a few weeks! Permission slips will be coming home for extended day tutoring sometime this week. It will start next week.

This week:

Spelling: https://quizlet.com/_44ktag

Math: We are working on multiplying multi-digit numbers which will lead us to division.  We are starting with 10, 100, and 1,000.

Reading: We are turning text features into questions as we continue “reading with a purpose.” We will be working on constructed responses to answer the questions later in the week.

Science- We are working on our Michigan native animal PBL. We are focusing on looking at our school grounds and deciding what can we do to bring more Michigan native wildlife into the area. We are focusing on the needs of potential chemical energy in the form of food for the animals and we are researching specific Michigan animals.

Writing- We are working on conclusion sentences as we continue working on our natural disaster research writing.

Social Studies-We are continuing on our studies of immigration in the United States and the interactions people have with their environment while immigrating.

Have a great week!
