Good morning everyone,
I hope everyone had a nice weekend. This week we are finishing up our NWEA testing. Today is Science and Thursday will be reading. We have a late start tomorrow. Stand club is still collecting craft supplies for Children’s Hospital. If you would like to donate, please send the items to the classroom or office with your student’s name on it.
Our week:
Spelling: We are looking at double consonant words this week. Our words are admitted, conferred, occurred, omitted, flagged, seasons, eclipse, representative, settlement, agricultural
Writing: Students are publishing their graphic novels and we will be looking at verb tenses.
Math:We are continuing our work with fractions. We will be looking at creating models of subtraction and addition as well as solving word problems.
Science: The study of the Solar Systems will continue as we focus on what causes high and low tides. We will also be looking at eclipses.
Social Studies:There will be an upcoming social studies test and study guides will be coming home.
Reading: We are looking at the theme in stories and pull out the clues that tell us the theme.
If anyone who has a student attending the Lansing Trip and would like to chaperone, they are in need of additional adults. Please contact Mrs. Doyle or Myself.
Have a great week!
