2nd Semester!
We are halfway through the school year! New semester = new classes…Your student may have had a Life Skills class first semester but 2nd semester could have it again. This is great ..More cooking, more sewing and many more skills for life will be learned.
Students are currently putting together their sewing projects
The 6th grade students have had the opportunity to prepare two recipes in the kitchen so far. They will be making a 3rd recipe before we move on to the sewing unit.
What we are learning
All students have done a great job getting so know classroom expectations and routines in the classroom. We are currently learning about kitchen safety expectations as well as keeping foods safe to eat. Next week students will have a simple quiz covering the information we have discussed so far. All students have to understand all the safety skills before cooking in the foods lab!
