After discussing the day in history, we went over the Primary vs. Secondary Sources handout from Friday. We then watched a video over the influence of the early automobile and the Great Migration in the US. Students were then given time to complete an intro into the conservative attitudes of the 1920s.

Friday 10/17/2025

After discussing the day in history, students took the CH. 10+ 11 Test. Afterward, they completed a handout over examples of Primary and Secondary Sources.

Thursday 10/16/2025

After discussing the day in history, the Ch. 11 sec. 4 Questions were checked and discussed. We also discussed the Schenck vs. US Supreme Court case. After watching a clip on the Treaty of Versailles, students received a handout on the treaty and a study guide for tomorrow’s test. Ch. 10 + 11 Test tomorrow!

“Virtual Day”

Students are to complete the handout over Schenck vs. US, as well as the CH. 11 sec. 4 Textbook Questions. Ch. 10 + 11 Test on Friday!

Monday 10/13/2025

After discussing the day in history, the Ch. 11 sec. 3 Questions were checked and discussed. We also finished the video from THursday and discussed the answers to the video questions. Students completed a handout over the song “Over There”, and then we looked at examples of WWI propaganda posters. Students also completed a handout over the Supreme Court case Schenck v US.

After discussing the day in history, Assistant Principal Osinski presented to the students about the expectations at HFEC.Students were then given time to work on the CH. 11 sec. 3 Questions– due on Monday.

Thursday 10/9/2025

After discussing the day in history, we went over the Ch. 11 sec. 2 answers, and the watched a video overview of WWI.

Tuesday 10/7/2025

After discussing the day in history, we discussed the tensions between the US and Mexico, and then went over the CH. 11 sec. 1 Answers, including the Zimmermann Note. Students then completed questions over Wilson’s War Address.

Monday 10/6/2025

After discussing the day in history, I checked the Ch. 11 sec. 1 Questions. Students then completed the World Leader or Bully chart, and then we watched the Edpuzzle on events leading to WWI.

Thursday 10/2/2025

After discussing the day in history, the Ch. 10 sec. 4 questions were checked and discussed. We also watched a clip on the Panama Canal, as well as the Crash Course on American Imperialism.
