Today’s poem is Candy Corn.
This week we will continue reading Halloween books:
- “This Is The House That Monsters Built” by Steve Metzger and Jared D. Lee
- “There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Bat” by Lucille Colandro and Jared D. Lee
All three are rhyming books and students will practice identifying pairs of rhyming words.
Students may notice that two of the books are illustrated by the same person. The same books are pattern books based on traditional literature, “This Is The House That Jack Built” and “There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly.”
