Reading:

RI 4.2 – Determine the main idea of a text and explain how it is supported by key details; summarize the text. RI 4.1 – Refer to details and examples in a text when explaining what the text says explicitly and when drawing inferences from the text.

Writing:

W.4.5
I can demonstrate application of planning by using a graphic organizer that charts reasons for my opinion.
W.4.10
I can demonstrate application of my writing stamina by practicing writing independently during writer’s workshop.

Math:

4.NBT.4 Fluently add and subtract multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.
Ability to apply a standard algorithm in both addition and subtraction problems.

Science:Energy Investigation Part 2 Rolling balls down a slope. Essential Question: How does a starting position affect the speed of a ball on a ramp?

Social Studies:

4-G2.0.1 Describe ways in which Untied States can be divided into different regions (e.g political regions, economic regions, landform regions, vegetation regions).
