Weekly Objectives- September 18th

Reading Objective:

Common core: RL 4.2 Determine a theme of a story, drama, or a poem from details in the text; summarize the text.

Math: Draw points, lines, line segments, rays, angles (right, acute, obtuse), and perpendicular and parallel lines. Identify these in two-dimensional figures.

Science:

Standards: 4-PS3-2 Make observations to provide evidence that energy can be transferred from place to place by sound, light, heat, and electricity.

4-PS3-3 Ask questions and predict outcomes about the changes in energy.

Essential Question: What is needed to make a complete pathway for current to flow in a circuit?

Social studies:

4 – G1.0.2: Use cardinal and intermediate directions to describe the relative location of significant places in the United States.

4 – G1.0.3: Identify and describe the characteristics and purposes (e.g., measure distance, determine relative location, classify a region) of a variety of geographic tools and technologies (e.g., globe, map, satellite image).

Writing:

Students will write narrative stories focusing on the narrative organizational structure. Graphic organizers will be reviewed and used in the planning process.
