I would like to welcome everyone into the new year!! I missed all the students very much! I hope you have been enjoying your winter break with your children. My kids have been keeping me real busy! It’s almost time to return back to school and I am so excited to kick off the new year with my amazing class.

As you know students will be taking the NWEA test as soon as we get back. We will have a few days to review. Students also have a math test on Friday, January 8th. I will be passing out a study guide this Tuesday to help prepare for the test.
Spelling: We will continue with words with the silent e. Our spelling words for this week will have the long i sound. Here are the words for the week: ride, dime, nine, five, time, like, my, by
Science: We will begin our new science unit this week focusing on weather. Students will be collecting information and graphing the weather throughout the month of January.
