It was great seeing the students transition right back to learning this past week! I am proud to announce that our class won for the most reading minutes during the month of March!!! Our class read for a total of 7,645 minutes. A big congratulations to Hussein Harb, he won for the most minutes read in all of first grade! Hussein read for a total of 1,545 minutes! Our class earned a pizza party for this big accomplishment.

Spelling:
This week students will be reading and writing words with the two sounds of /oo/ Our spelling words for this week are:
moon, spoon, tooth, wood, took, bloom

Math:
We will be prepping for our upcoming NWEA test. This week students will be learning about odd and even numbers. Students will also be adding two digit numbers without regrouping. Below is an odd/even game from educationcity.com:
Science:
We will be learning all about animal life cycles! This week we will focus on the butterfly life cycle.
