Update

Hi all. I have been getting questions about the Roadworks articles. I posted the link to sign your child up in a previous post, along with the class code. Since some parents/students are having issues accessing the articles linked on the lesson plans, I went ahead and assigned a few articles myself for the class. I am hoping this works now

Homework Tidbits

As far as the homework calendars go, this is my recommendation:

Find the first calendar and Monday do all the reading and writing.

On Tuesday do all the math for the week.

On Wednesday do all the science.

On Thursday do all the social studies and on Friday do all the special class’ work.

Seems like the easiest way to stay organized and know what to do each day.

Reading and writing- watch each video in the section. Follow the plan. This week is narratives. After watching the videos have your child choose a writing prompt and write a 5 paragraph narrative. Introduction, middle and ending. Then have them edit, revise, and write a good copy with a picture.

For the links for the worksheets- choose 2-3 worksheets a day for them to complete. They can simply write the answers to the worksheets on a piece of paper.

For math they should complete at least 10 problems per DAY for each link sent. If you do math on one day of the week have them log on to zearn and prodigy as well as complete about 30 math problems for the day.

Anything turned in will be given points for if it completed and written nicely.

They should also be reading 20 minutes a day and can write a summary 1-2 paragraphs about what they read each day.

Just remember that anything they complete is enrichment and will aid in retaining the information we have learned thus far. I’m available for questions at any time. Please reach out to me if you need anything. ❤️🙏❤️

Yesterday I passed out a spelling packet for each child. I am starting to assess the children on spelling. Each Monday they will be given a spelling packet. This is something that they are only able to work on at home. The COMPLETED packet MUST be returned on Friday. We will have our spelling tests on Friday’s.

Welcome back, everyone!
