Our class went on our annual community-based field trip to Fairlane Mall in Dearborn.  Our students had the opportunity to explore and act as consumers in real-life experiences.  Our students had to make choices with budgeting their own money by making purchases and making sure they had enough money to buy lunch.  The students had to take into consideration paying sales tax and using discount coupons to balance their daily budget while interacting with members of the community.
