The Book Fair is tomorrow.  Please talk with your child tonight about what books they’d like to buy and send in the money tomorrow.  Children will bring home a list of wanted books tonight.  Thanks

Congratulations Ms. Truxall’s Class!  We are the winners for the Box Top collection.  The PTA will reward our class with a free pizza lunch.  We will celebrate this coming Monday, November 13 during their lunch time.  We are in need of 2 parent volunteers to help with this lunch.  Please let me know as soon as possible if you can help out on Monday.  Our lunch is from 12:30-1:00.  Thanks!

The wrong list was printed on each child’s spelling paper being brought home today.  I had them cross out the typed words and replace it with the correct words.  The words are try, pie, cry, tie, wild.  Thanks

In Unit 3 Math, students will be working on money.  Students need to be able to count coins in various combinations.  To help with this goal, have your child count the coins in your pocket or the change in your purse.  We will also be counting bills as well.  Students need to know how to count $1, $5 and $10 bills.

We will also be telling time to the 5 minute on both a face clock and a digital clock.  The face clock is the most challenging because digital clocks are everywhere.  Ask your child every so often what time it is using a face clock.  Have your child write the time digitally too!

Test is November 21.

Last call for October Book It calendars.  Please turn them in by tomorrow.  Parents, please sign the calendar too.  November Book It calendars will go home today.  Thanks.

Yesterday afternoon, the students had a substitute.  The math fact sheets were not passed out.  They will come home tonight along with each child’s home journal and a new calendar for November/December.  Thanks.

Please remember that I will stuff new books into the book bags on Thursdays only.  I have students bringing back bags too early and too late.  Remember Thursdays!!!  Thanks.

Students may wear costumes tomorrow.  No changing of clothes.  Please leave weapons, accessories and masks at home.  Students may bring in one bag of candy to pass.  Happy Halloween!!!

Conference confirmation slips are coming home today.  If you did not attend the Open House, your child will receive a conference invitation.  Please sign up for your first and second choices.  Return by Friday.
