Greetings!

Hello everyone and welcome to Ms. Truxall’s class.  We had an excellent first day and am excited to see everyone tomorrow.  Today, your child brought home a PTA note.  Please check your child’s backpack.  It is my understanding that my supply list was not sent with the letter about which teacher your child would be having.  Sorry about that.  I will put the supply list on this blog.  Tomorrow, I will be sending you a welcome letter that has important information.  Please read carefully.  I will also be sending the Special’s Schedule so you know when to dress/send your child with gym shoes.  Thanks and see you tomorrow!

Field Trip Cancelled

Due to other classrooms cancelling, the weather and other reasons, the field trip to Greenfield Village has been cancelled!  I will send all money and copies of memberships home today.  Instead of the trip, we will have game and movie day.  Please send in board games and G rated movies.  Thanks!

Summer Learning

In order to maintain your child’s current level in reading and in math, I recommend that your child visit myon.com this summer.  They know their passwords!  2nd graders should visit Vmath and StudyIsland.  I also suggest visiting the library, continuing writing in journals and visiting museums.  Have a safe and wonderful summer!

Field Day and Class Picnic

On Tuesday, June 14 we will have field day and a class picnic.  We are in need of volunteers to help with the field day.  Our class time will be from 12:10-1:10.  Volunteers are needed for the whole field day.  It begins at 11 and ends around  2.  Let me know if you’re interested.

Picnic-  Our class picnic will be during our lunch time from 11:35 to 12:05.  We will eat outside somewhere, if the weather is nice.  Please join us.  Bring foods just for your family.  No potluck.  Thanks and see you then!
