Dear Parents,

Our Cultural Play on Egypt will be Thursday, June 8.  All students must be in costume and in the classroom by 5:15.  The play will promptly begin at 5:30.  We have chosen an earlier time to accommodate those that celebrate Ramadan.  The play will be in the gym.  Once you drop off your child to the classroom, please make your way to the gym for good seating.

Costumes may be purchased and/or made depending on cost and craft ability.  Your child’s costume does not need to exactly match the part that he/she is reading.  They can dress in any Egypt costume.  Party city has a lot of choices. Pintrest is also a common place to look for ideas.

On Thursday, June 8, our class along with Ms. Keebler, Ms. Polster and Ms. Nellie will be having Cultural Night on Ancient Egypt.  Some of the classes will be doing a play, speaking about Egyptian gods and goddesses and our class will be presenting the Needs of Ancient Egyptian People and Egyptian interesting facts.  Each student will have a speaking part.  On Monday, I’ll be sending home your child’s part in the presentation.  Each child is expected to memorize his/her lines.  Each child is also expected to have a costume for the night.  Egypt is fairly popular so if you’d like to buy a costume, Party City will probably have one to purchase.  If not, I’ll be sending home costume ideas for you to make/put together for the Cultural Night.  This is a very exciting time of the year and hope that all students will be participating in this event!

Next Wednesday, May 24 will be Unit 10 math test.  I am sending home a practice test today.  Thanks

It is that time of year again when the Montessori students study a culture and present a play to the parents.  This year our theme is Egypt!  The Cultural Play will be Thursday, June 8 in the evening.  More information will soon be coming about play lines, costumes, etc.  Mark your calendars for this very special event!!!!

Please keep all Fidget Spinners at home.  Students are using them as toys and toys are not allowed in the classroom.  Thanks!

Instead of socks, please send in 1 nylon knee-high pantyhose.    Sorry for the mix up.

Tuesday and Thursday of next week will be our Final NWEA Test for the year.  Let’s finish strong!  Good sleep and a healthy breakfast will help!  Good luck to all students!
