Next week our class will participate in a Study Island contest with other schools. I am sending home a note and everyone’s passwords in case you have forgotten them. Please participate. We are having a fundraiser to purchase prizes for classes and individual children who are best behaved in class, at specials, in the halls, at lunch etc. To raise this money, we have having a Pajama Day this Friday. Cost is $1. PJ Day is optional. Thanks!
We will have a small celebration for Valentine’s Day sometime this Friday, February 13. Students can pass valentine cards to each other and some candy if they would like to. We will make a container for the cards. We also have an exciting assembly in the afternoon about character education. Should be a fun day!
I will be sending home Fact Sheet homework tonight and tomorrow as well as the spelling list. Students need to be prepared for the spelling test by Monday, February 9. Fact sheet test will still be this Friday.

Please send in boots, snow pants, hats and gloves on days when the temperature will be above 20 degrees. We’d like to go outside and play in the snow for recess. If most of the class doesn’t bring these items, we will just stay indoors. Students can take their winter gear home on Friday’s so they can enjoy the snow weather on the weekends. The next two days will be too cold but there is a chance we can go out on Thursday and/or Friday. Thanks!
