Our party this Friday will begin at 2:00 for those bringing a craft.  Treats can be dropped off in the morning or whatever time you can.  Thanks!  So far we have a couple of crafts and treats.  We could use a little more!

Next Thursday, December 22, we will have a math test.  Yesterday the practice tests came home!

Monday- Crazy Hair Day- My personal favorite

Tuesday-Backward/Inside out day

Wednesday- Holiday wear- Christmas sweaters, green or red and HATS!

Thursday- Howe Spirit wear

Friday- Pajama Day!  Bring one stuffed animal

Now that winter weather has arrived, please send your child with snow pants, boots, hats and gloves along with a coat that zips or buttons!  We will be going outside everyday that the temperature and windchill are above 20 degrees.  Your child may leave his/her snow gear at school for the week and then take it home for the weekend.  Those that do not have boots and snow pants will spend their recess on the sidewalk.  🙁

Please remember that tomorrow will be our first Parent Involvement Day.  Please remember to bring your bag of coins for the games!  See you at 9:00 in the classroom and 8:40 in the cafeteria!

Ms. Truxall’s class will be having a Christmas/Holiday Craft Party on Friday, December 23 towards the end of the day.  We will need parent volunteers to help run the party.  We will need a few crafts that you supply and be in charge of during the party.  Ideas can range from decorating cookies, making ornaments, etc.  Please be mindful of our carpet and not have too messy a craft.  The craft should be simple enough for students to complete with just a little guidance from you.  We will also need some treats that day.  It would be nice to have a combination of healthy(veggies, fruit) and not so healthy (cookies, goodies) snacks.  If you are interested in volunteering your time to do a craft with us or provide a snack, please email me.  Thanks!

If you are coming on Tuesday, December 13 please bring a plastic bag filled with 14 pennies, 10 nickels, 10 dimes, 4 quarters and one $1 bill.  We will use these items to play one of the games.  The bag of money will go back home with you and it’ll be ready for play.  I’ll provide the game sheet and paper clip.  Thanks!

Mark your calendars parents!  We are having a special morning coming on Tuesday, December 13 from 8:40 to 9:30.  I will be presenting Math games and strategies to both you and your child. We will play some of the games in class and discuss ways you can do these at home.  Please join your child in my room at 9.  Ms. Fournier will give a quick talk in the cafeteria from 8:40 to 9 and then you will all come to the classroom!  I hope all of you are able to attend.  1 parent please due to lack of seating and space.  Thanks!
