Session #1 of Lego Club wraps up next week Friday, so they have tomorrow (3/3) and next week (3/10). The 10th is their last session. Session #2 begins the following week March 17th – this is Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd graders. For Lego club dismissal, I would like parents to wait at the front doors, and I will walk the kids out to them at 4:30pm. I don’t want parents to come to the art room, it gets too chaotic. Thanks!
We have many activities planned for this month including, dress up as your favorite book character, bring a flashlight to school and read in the dark, wear a hat with words day, game day, guests reading to our class, classes reading with other classes. The list goes on and on. We are all very excited. I will be sending you week by week information as to what will be needed from home. There is nothing needed this week.
On Tuesdays this month, I’d like to invite parents to come into the classroom and read a book! We are available in the mornings at 9:00. Please have your child help you pick out a book or two. Students cannot sit much longer than 15 minutes so please choose books that fit this time frame. Please do not bring in treats for the students. Please let me know by email if you are interested in reading to our class. If Tuesdays at 9 do not work for you, we can set up a different time. Thanks so much!

Please remember to send in Valentine’s cards for your child to pass tomorrow. Your child can also pass out candy if he/she wants to. Thanks and Happy Valentine’s Day!
Reminder that our field trip to Cranbrook is tomorrow. Please remember to send your child with a lunch. We also ask that your child wears Howe School wear. If you do not have any, wear red please. Thanks!

I am sending home a class list for your children to put names on Valentine cards for Valentine’s day. Students will pass out cards on the 14th. They can bring candy to pass too. Thanks
Field Trip notes will be coming home today. Please fill out and return by this Thursday! My class does not require all the parents to attend. If your child was in Ms. Erin’s class or Ms. Schneider’s class last year, all parents were required to attend. From second grade on, parents are not required. If you’d like to chaperone, please send in $10 and be sure that your information is current in the office. The school district checks backgrounds of all parents who will be chaperoning a trip for the safety of all children. Your information is valid for 3 years so if you have this information in the office from last year than it is still current. Thanks
