Moby Max Update

Since most of the children have not used Moby Max last year, you have to use your child’s school email address when clever redirects you to google log in.  Your child’s email address is their (username) 200/201 number @dearbornschools.org.  Once you initially log in on google, it will not ask you to log in again.  Clever will take you to Moby Max.  Sorry for the confusion.

Moby Max

Moby Max

Students may log on to Moby Max and practice a variety of skills including, math facts, word flash cards, etc.  Please go to the dearbornschools.org website.  Click on Resources, click on Students, scroll down to Clever.  Click on Clever.  This will take you to a log in page.  Please allow your child to use their username which is their student number.  They all know this number.  Then your child will put in his/her password.  The password is your child’s birthday.  They also know their password.  MM/DD/YYYY.  Then click on Moby Max and then begin!  Good Luck.  Please use a lap top, desk top or a Chrome book.  Phones and tablets do not work well.

Thanks,

Ms. Truxall

Pizza Party

Remember that Monday, November 13 is the pizza party for winning the Box Top contest.  Students will be served 2 pieces of cheese pizza that day.  A packed lunch is not necessary but please remember to send a snack.

We have 2 parent volunteers to help and we are all set for the day.  Thanks!

Box Top Winners!

Congratulations Ms. Truxall’s Class!  We are the winners for the Box Top collection.  The PTA will reward our class with a free pizza lunch.  We will celebrate this coming Monday, November 13 during their lunch time.  We are in need of 2 parent volunteers to help with this lunch.  Please let me know as soon as possible if you can help out on Monday.  Our lunch is from 12:30-1:00.  Thanks!

Unit 3 Math

In Unit 3 Math, students will be working on money.  Students need to be able to count coins in various combinations.  To help with this goal, have your child count the coins in your pocket or the change in your purse.  We will also be counting bills as well.  Students need to know how to count $1, $5 and $10 bills.

We will also be telling time to the 5 minute on both a face clock and a digital clock.  The face clock is the most challenging because digital clocks are everywhere.  Ask your child every so often what time it is using a face clock.  Have your child write the time digitally too!

Test is November 21.
