I am sending home a new calendar for January and February for journal topics. Please have your child write every Tuesday and Thursday with at least 5 sentences. Please also remember to write the date. Return the journals the next day. Thank you.
Our field trip to the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum will be Wednesday, January 17. That day is a late start day so our trip will begin at 9:45. I will allow BOTH small groups to drive with a parent and individual students drive with their own parent. Please indicate on the permission slip if you are driving your own child or are willing to take a small group in your car. I will keep the current permission slip except please note the time change. If you’ve lost the slip over the break, I will send a new one on Monday. Sorry for the changes.
Dear Parents,
Due to parental requests, all students will need to be driven by his/her own parent to the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum. A bus is not available that day. I will send a new permission slip either tomorrow or after the break. If you’ve already sent it in, no worries, we will adjust it. No extra money should be needed.

Friday- PJ Day with $1 donation for Girl Scouts. They are going to use the money to buy books for underprivileged children.
Today is our preview day (window shopping). Tomorrow is the day to purchase items. Please fill out the envelope sent home last week and return tomorrow. Thanks!
Please remember to pack a healthy snack for your child. Students have been trying to bring cookies, chips and other unhealthy snacks into the classroom during work time. Children can eat those things during lunch and then get rid of extra energy at recess. Thank you.
On Wednesday, January 17, Ms. Truxall’s class will attend a field trip to the Ann Arbor Children’s (Hands On) Museum! We will need chaperones/drivers. This year, I do not require every parent to attend the trips. We will group up students as needed. If you didn’t fill out paper work last year to go on trips, please do so soon. Ms. Bernadette needs time to have the district do checks on each and every chaperone. Please note this procedure is for the safety of the children. Thanks. More info to come on the field trip!
