Costumes for the Cultural Event

Since our Event will happen at 1:30, students may wear his/her costume to school in the morning.  We do not have an area for a lot of children to change so it would be best if the children came dressed.  If your child does not want to wear the costume all day, your child could slip it on over his/her school clothes.  Please have the costume simple enough that your child can wear it all day or be able to put it on over regular clothes.  If your child requires help, you may arrive at 1:00 to help with make-up or hair, etc.  We have 4 classrooms all trying to get ready at the same time and our little bathrooms will not hold all those people for changing.  Thanks for your understanding!

Cultural Play

On Tuesday, June 5 at 1:30, we will be having our Cultural Play.  Our theme this year is  Native Americans.  Our class specifically will focusing on The Southwest Native Americans.  We will be doing some class projects on the Needs of People, as well as memorizing lines for the play.  Students will soon receive their parts in this year’s Cultural Play.  All students will need a costume as well.  Information on costumes will be coming soon but if you’d like to get a head start, there is plenty of information about what the Southwest Native Americans wore on the internet.  You can look up images of Pueblo, Anansi or Hopi and find many examples.  Costumes may be made or purchased.  Party City has a lot of costumes.  Thanks!

Color Run Today!

Please remember to send your child in clothes that can be used during the Color Run.  Not all powder can be removed from clothing.  The Run is at 3:00.  Students will bring their backpacks and items to go home outside with them.  We will dismiss from the playground at 3:35.  Any kids remaining at 3:35 will dismiss out back at our usual dismissal area.  No students are allowed back in the building at dismissal with the exception of Kid’s Club.  See you there.
