Please understand that when your child must leave early, he/she may or may not get his/her Communication Folder and/or homework and notes.  I am usually in a lesson until 3:20 and cannot stop to gather those items for your child.  Those items will be sent home the next day.  Thank you.

Spelling- I am sending home a copy of your child’s spelling words today. I was ill yesterday and the sub didn’t send it home.

Home Journal- Please have your child choose any topic idea from the September list.  Remember, journals are done on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Math- Please have your child complete page 17 and on the back page 18. Thanks.

Today, I will be sending home a book bag with your child’s classroom number on it.  I have stuffed the bag with 2 leveled reading books.  Please have your child read the books nightly.  These can count for the reading log too.  Please do not return the bag until the following Tuesday.  I will be stuffing new books on Tuesdays only.  If your child returns the bag too early or too late, he/she will not receive a book until the follow Tuesday.  Thanks!

Our class is in need of Kleenex/nose tissue and we also need old, but clean socks to use as erasers on our wipe-off boards for math.  If you could donate any of these items, we would appreciate it! Thank you.

Reading Log- 20 minutes- please keep log in the red communication folder please.

Math- pg 13 and the backside 14.

Many Home Journals were not sent yesterday due to the substitute.  We stapled in the loose leaf pages that were sent in.

Tonight, I will be sending home a Reading Log for you to keep track of your child’s nightly reading time.  All students in 2nd grade must read or be read to for 20 minutes.  Please fill it in nightly, keep it in the Red, Communication Folder and return it every morning. Thank you.

No Math.  We will finish the lesson on Wednesday.

Home Journal will be on Tuesday and Thursday of each week.
