Math- Lesson 5- I am going to start assigning some portions of the homework instead of the entire sheet. We are doing this in class as well. The problems I want them to do are called “Must do’s”. The problems they can do once the Must do’s are done and there is still time left are called “Could do’s”. Now for homework, I will give you the list of Must do’s and the rest is up to you and your child to decide to complete or not. I will explain more at conferences this week and next. Thanks.

Tomorrow is Halloween. This year, all the teachers agreed not to allow costumes. Instead, students may wear festive Halloween colors. Some students asked if they can wear face paint or spray paint their hair. I said it would be fine as long as they ask their parents.

This Wednesday, students may wear Halloween festive colors to school but no costumes please. Mr. Borg is having a celebration in the afternoon. If you’d like to volunteer, please let me know. After our turn at the party, our class will return to the room and have some Halloween activities of our own. If your child would like to pass out candy after the party to his/her classmates, you child may do so. Thanks
