Monday 12/17 – Holiday Sock Day- Students may wear other silly socks if you prefer

Tuesday 12/18 – Holiday Hair Do Day- Students may wear santa caps, reindeer antlers, jinglebells, holiday earring or necklaces

Wednesday 12/19 – Holiday Sweaters, Sweatshirts, or T-Shirt Day

Thursday 12/20 – Dress in Red and Green for our special sing along

Friday 12/21 – Donate a children’s book or pajamas to the homeless and students can wear their pajamas

Reminder that the field trip to the Lincoln Park Skating Center is tomorrow. Please remember to pack your child a lunch.  The food area at the skating center will be closed.  All chaperones report to school by 9:30.  Thanks!

Chaperones please report to the office on Thursday, December 13 at 9:30.  Please sign in, check in with me and then wait in the cafeteria.  There are many classes going and there will be many parents.  Our goal is to leave by 9:40-9:45.  See you all then.

Keep reading and filling out the Reading log page!

So far half of the class has returned a permission slip for the field trip.  Please turn it in on Monday, December 10 if you have not done so.  We are in need of drivers/chaperones.  I have 3 parents driving right now.  Please also let me know if your child is not attending the trip, staying at home that day or coming to school.  Thanks!

Please send in completed November Calendars!  I’ send December’s today.

I am also sending a December journal idea calendar for Home Journal writing. Home Journals are to be done on Tuesday and Thursday each week.  You may have your child do more if you’d like.  THanks!!

Lots of things happening next week.

1. Holiday Gift Shop- Our class will preview shop on the 11th which is Tuesday.  We will purchase items on the 12th.  If your child forgets to bring money on the 12th, he/she will be allowed to shop Thursday morning.
2. Field Trip- Our class will be attending a fun and exciting trip to the Lincoln Park Skating Center on Thursday the 13th from 10-1.  We will be learning some fun science while enjoying some skate time. Please bring a lunch.  Permission slips were sent home last week.  I only have a couple that have been returned so send them in please.  I have extra if you need one.

This week’s words are each, which, match, dish, with Dolch words are their, these, those, upon and use. Notice the pattern is words that end in sh, ch, wh.  Please study the pattern and words for Friday.

I will be returning tomorrow.  We will review math and begin our test Thursday and finish Friday.
