Math- Module 2 Lesson 1 page 39-40.

Zearn lessons- try to get to Module 2 lesson 1 or go on ahead. (Some are still in Mod 1 Lesson 1) Do the best your can to move through the lessons. It’ll say what lesson your child is on when he/she logs in.

Bring Library Books back to school tomorrow. We have Library Check-Out.

In class, we have started Zearn. Zearn is Eureka math in computer form. The children listen to lessons that go with our math book and they complete each lesson before moving on to the next. In Module 1, many of the students have had the opportunity to complete a Zearn lesson after completing work in his/her book. Unfortunately not everyone has had the opportunity to move through the lessons in Zearn because some students are working directly with me during class time. As a result, I am assigning Zearn as homework. That way all can have the opportunity to enjoy and learn the math lessons in the book and on the computer. What is extra neat about zearn is that students can go ahead of the class and work on lessons as far as they can go!!! So happy Zearning!! I am sending home the username and password cards today. Go to zearn.org. Note that our class code is in caps NE4P7Q. It may ask as your child the code when logging in.

We will be having a math test either Thursday, Sept 26 or Monday the 30th. It depends on how we move through the last couple of lessons. Regardless, I am sending home a practice test today. Please spend some time with your child working with the problems. The real test will look exactly like the practice test. I just changed some numbers. Students do not need to return the practice test. I am not grading it. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
