Dr. Moughni would like parents to review the Read at Home Plan with their students. I attached the link below. Each student in my class has a reading log. Students are expected to write a summary when they are done reading. Parents should sign it daily. At the end of the month, if students complete the log, they would get a free pizza coupon. These pizza coupons are reading incentives that is initiated by our school.
Ms.Meseroll blog
Our district reading coach Mrs.Meseroll created a blog for the parents of Henry Ford to encourage reading among students and parents as well. I highly recommend to subscribe to this blog. Ms.Meseroll will share reading tips and post read-aloud videos to motivate students to read and parents to read as well to their children. Her blog is attached below:

Math
Students can practice the math lessons on zearn.org. Each student has a username and password that I stapled to the first page in their planner. This website help students to understand the lesson better, and enable them to be fluent in their multiplication facts.
Reading updates
Students can read on razkids.org. This reading website is purchased by the district to improve the students’ reading skills and level. Each student has a username and password, that is stapled to the first page in the planner. I entered the reading levels for all students, so they will have to read books according to their reading level. Also, students are expected to submit a reading log monthly, and they will get a free pizza coupon from Pizza Hut.
Math: Students will learn more about fractions and measurement and data in the third marking period.
Reading: We will continue learning about the three genres: narrative, informational, and poetry.
Social studies: We will learn about slavery, French and Indian war, the road to independence, and revolutionary war.
