Students discussed the importance of kindness this week as we read the book, “Have You Filled a Bucket Today?” We also discussed theme and found theme through various reading passages. Students chose a quote that they feel best represents their lives, and we will be creating a visual representation next week in class.

Students are also getting daily review lessons on basic grammar and mechanics of writing.

Finally students went to the media center to pick out new “good fit” books.

There will be a quiz on Wednesday of next week reviewing the various standards covered in the last week’s homework sheets. These include: synonyms, antonyms, homonyms,compound words and contractions.
