Week of March 6, 2017

We have begun “March is Reading Month”.  We will be doing a book swap on Thursday, March 9th.  Starting Monday, the students are encouraged to bring in age appropriate books that they have already read and are comfortable donating.  The students will then do a “swap” of their old books for “new” books.

We are reading the novel Tuck Everlasting with a focus on characterization.  We are exploring the traits of various characters in the book and then will write a character analysis.  We are using foldables as a way to help students prepare themselves to be able to complete the essay. This will be a paper that we will started together and students will finish independently.
