Celebrities of the Day!!!

Today the students were given back their graded assignments from last week. Many of them need to remember to put their name on their work! This will become an issue with their grade in the future. They also received their graded quiz from Friday. This was put in their portfolio because it is a summative assignment. Their grades could be found on parent connect. If the student received a grade of 18 or lower on the quiz, they may retake the quiz tomorrow at 7:30 in the morning or at 3:00 after school.

The students then went over an argumentative article from scope magazine entitled “School Uniforms: Awesome- or Awful?” They used the R.A.T.E method to analyze and understand the text. This is the article they will be using to begin writing their own argumentative essay.

Homework:

Read for 20 minute and fill out first day of the Reading Log as thorough as possible.
