Today the students took a Genre Quiz!

The students then finished up their “Plot Chart for Short Story” worksheet by applying it to the story “Thank you Ma’am” by Langston Hughes. We watched a video to give them a visual of the story. We spent time going over this with great depth because they will be applying the different stages of a plot to many of the stories they will be reading this year. It is important that they fully understand the stages of a plot and how they develop the story.

Homework:

Read for 20 Minutes.
