We had a great first week together and were able to accomplish a lot of tasks.  We took a tour of the media center and checked out our first good fit books.  Your children should have one chapter book and one book to read at home.  We focused on daily oral language and completed homework on nouns this week.  Your child also spent some time reading their good fit books and then completed word work immediately after.  Your children are now expected to read for 20 minutes 5 times a week.  (They should be reading one time this weekend.)

SUMMER LEARNING

We checked in the 480 minutes of Moby Max that should have been completed over the summer.  If the students didn’t complete the 480 minutes we  have extended the deadline until Monday, September 18th.  Those students who have not completed the 480 minutes by Monday will be given partial credit.

We will be doing our presentations on our summer reading on Monday as well.  Remember that a note card about the book and a visual should be brought to school on Monday UNLESS it was collected today.
