Celebrities of the Day!!!

Today the students reported their findings from the article entitled “School Uniforms: Awesome – or Awful?” to support both sides of the argument. We filled out a graphic organizer to distinguish between textual evidence that support either Yes for Uniforms or No for Uniforms. We introduced what a counterargument for their paper would look like.

After students had all the evidence for both sides of the argument, they were able to choose a side based on educated evidence to support their stand. They were given instruction on how to begin the introduction to the essay. They will begin writing the introduction tomorrow.

Reading Logs should continue to be thoroughly completed with supporting details from the reading. We went over a few examples of what the reading log should look like. Please review what they wrote before signing.
