Celebrities of the Day!!!

Today the students worked on assignments for their final day of Meap review. They discussed, with a partner, the notes they took after applying the R.A.T.E method to “Jimmie Lee Sudduth” in their Meap packet that they worked on over the weekend. Afterward, the students answered the questions to accompany the article using the stoplight method. They were to treat the process of answering the questions as though it were the Meap. This was to give them a feel for the testing behavior and atmosphere they will encounter this week.

Students also used the R.A.T.E method one more time to the story from their Meap packet entitled “Ellen and the Eagle”. We find the practice of this technique will help them exponentially in understanding texts.

Homework: 

In preparation for the Meap students should:

1. Get a great night of rest!

2. Eat a healthy breakfast!

3. Get to school early

Also Read for 20 minutes 🙂 to jog their brain.
