Online learning for 4/13-4/17

Hello everyone!

1- The state has come up with new guidelines for computer usage with young children. Your child’s screen time should be limited to 1 up to 1 ½ hours per day.

3- Log-in information and passwords can be found in Google Classroom.  How to log-into Google Classroom: 1.Go to Dearborn Schools Student Portal  2. Login to Clever (Username: Student number@ dearbornschools.org/ Password: Birthdate (01012011)  3.Click on Google Classroom and join class 4.Enter class code jvwcyfl for Ms. Sims’ class and fg66l7c  for Mrs.Grahl’s class. 

4-Find a “study spot,” some place where you will go to do your daily work.  A spot for school work only, no where near the TV or video games, if possible.

5- Create a schedule to follow every week day. Still get up at a set time, do your regular routine as if you were going to school. Then go into your school work.  Following a routine will be VERY helpful especially to children. They need the consistency of a schedule.

If you have a membership, check out Dearborn Public Libraries. The children can “borrow” new books and they also have movies (including the latest ones that aren’t streaming/on cable yet).

The Social Studies Curriculum: Unit 4: How Do We Learn About the Past? 
Big Ideas of the Lesson 1, Unit 4
1. History is the study of the past.
2, Past is something that has already happened.
3. Present is something that is happening right now.
4. Future is something that has not happened yet.
Draw a picture and write a sentence about what you were like in the past, what you are like in the present, and what you think you will be like in the future.
