Here you will find weekly updates on each unit that we are doing in our Math class. Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns.

 

Week of September 10th:
Students will be working as a whole group, pairs, and individually on the concept of division. Students will begin the unit by dividing by groups of 2. Once students are familiar with the practice of dividing by groups of 2, they will continue to work on equations with divisors up to 5 and also a divisor of 10.

Our Essential Element: EE7.NS.2b Solve division problems with divisors up to five and also with a divisor of 10 without remainders.

“I Can” Statement: I can solve division problems with divisors up to five and also with a divisor of 10 without remainders.

Throughout the week we will still be working in daily centers.

Daily Centers: identifying shapes, drawing shapes, identifying and counting multi-digit numbers, identifying and counting money, telling time, graphing, sorting, etc. (daily centers activities will vary depending on each individual students present levels and IEP goals).
