Students and Families,
I hope you are all doing well. As we work through this ever-changing situation, I want to thank you all for your patience and support. It can be challenging, but I know together we can support our students and allow them to be successful learners outside of the four walls of our classroom.
There are many things that your child can work on independently and/or with your support during this time. Here are some ideas:
– IXL is a website in which students can work at their own pace and level in order to practice math, language arts, science, and social studies. Each student has their own personal account. If your child does not know their login information, please contact me and I will be happy to provide that information for you. IXL is available online as well as apps on the Google Play and Apple Store. Here is the link to access IXL online:

– Mystery Doug/Mystery Science is an online science resource, with videos, discussion questions, and hands-on activities. Each lesson starts with a question to spark students’ curiosity. My students and I learn with a Mystery Doug lesson each week on Mondays, so this is something your child should be very familiar with. Here is the link to access Mystery Doug online: https://mysterydoug.com/
There are two types of lessons:
● Full Lessons (45-90 minutes, with hands-on activities): Aligned to grade-level
standards, easy-prep activities, videos with built-in discussion questions.
● Mini-Lessons (5-15 minutes, all digital): Videos answer real student questions using stunning visuals. Great for independent exploration – minimal to no adult support needed!
They have collected a sample of the easiest lessons to do from home, organized by grade-level, and put them on a single page:

Stay safe and healthy,
Ms. Golles
