Hello everyone!
Just heard in our Music staff meeting this week that we will coordinate a return of district instruments at each building, but because of the Governor’s orders, that will most likely not occur until end of July/ August. As of right now we are going to try and coordinate the instrument return with a chrome book return at each building.

Concert dates are based on specific programs for each school. Each of my 7 buildings are unique and sometimes coordinate with other teachers’ programs:
March 23rd–River Oaks Concert–4th Recorders/5th Grade Instrumental
March 31st–Fordson Track Feeder Concert-Strings at McCollough-Unis–This is ONLY for Oakman and Miller
April 1st–Haigh Instrumental and Vocal Concert at Bryant–This is ONLY for Haigh students
April 21st–Fordson Track Feeder Concert-Band at McCollough-Unis–This is ONLY for Oakman and Miller
April 22nd–Nowlin General Music and Instrumental Music Concert–This is ONLY for Nowlin students

Due to the rescheduling of Parent/Teacher Conferences for Monday 11/18, I will be at the following buildings today:
Miller (until 4:30 pm)

Hello-
Due to no staff meeting today (Monday), my conference time will be adjusted earlier. I will be available from 3:45 pm-6:45 pm at River Oaks. Thanks!
I will be absent on Thursday 11/7 and Thursday 11/14 at conference time. I have come up with make up times for conferences as well as a rotation of locations for the three fall and spring dates:
1) Monday Nov 11th– River Oaks until 8 pm after staff meeting
2) Tuesday Nov. 12th– Haigh until 5:30 pm, then travel to Nowlin until 7 pm
3) Wednesday Nov. 13th– Oakman until 5 pm, then travel to Geer Park until 7 pm.
4) The April 15th Conferences will be reserved for Miller and Salina
Hello! Just a friendly reminder to turn the Instrumental Music Forms in to your child’s school ASAP 🙂 We have to go through an instrument fitting process after I receive the forms, which effects the speed and flow of classes starting. The sooner the better! 🙂

My name is Tricia McKinstry and I will be teaching 5th grade Instrumental Music students at River Oaks, Miller, Nowlin, Haigh, Geer Park, Oakman, and Salina. I am looking forward to a great year this year! This blog will include helpful hints to help your child through their first year on an instrument, as well as provide important performance information.
