Apr 15 – 18

Our discussion on DNA technology and its use as a forensic tool continues this week.

Mar 18 – 22

We will be finishing up tool mark analysis this week.  Test on forensic glass analysis and impression and prints (shoe, tire, tool) will be Thursday, 3-21.

Mar 11 – 15

We will continue our discussion of shoe impressions and prints, then move on to tire impressions and prints.  Lots of lab and hands-on activities involving both!!

Mar 4 – 8

We will finish the forensic glass unit with a closer look at density and becke lines.  Next will be the units on impressions and prints (other than fingerprints).  Shoe impressions and prints first.

Feb 25 – Mar 1

We will start our next unit on Monday – Forensic Glass Analysis.  Students will learn about the different types of glass that can be encountered at a crime scene, determining density and refractive index of glass, how to determine direction of force, etc.

Feb 11 – 14

Test on Intro and Forensic Soil analysis -Wednesday

Jan 28 – Feb 1

Finishing the crime lab unit this week and starting soil analysis.

Jan 22 – 25

Welcome to semester 2.

Jan 14 – 18

Ballistics and Hair/Fiber Test – Monday

Final Exam–

1st hour – Wednesday 7:20 am

2nd hour – Wednesday 9:00am

3rd hour – Thursday 7:20am

Jan 7 – 11

We will be finishing up the ballistics unit and getting a bit into hair and fiber.  Open Note test – Monday, Jan 7 and final exams are Jan 16-18.
