Week 5: Monday, April 20 to Friday, April 24

We will start working on week 5 tomorrow. Students should go to the Dearborn Public Schools website to view the online learning lesson plan. Students should follow the lessons daily, and make sure to finish all the assignments by the end of the week.

There will be reading assignments on eSpark (Ask and answer question) for Monday and Tuesday, and (Prefixes and Suffixes) for Wednesday and Thursday.

For writing, students will follow the process on a daily basis They need to watch the videos on “online learning” and then do the assignments on google classroom.

For math, students will watch a video and go on zearn to finish lesson 1 and 2 for this week. They also can print out the problem sets which are on the website under “online learning.” When they complete the worksheet, students should take a picture and send it on remind.

Students will have to do science work on Monday and Tuesday. They must watch the videos on the “online learning” school website and do the work on google classroom.

For Social Studies, students need to finish the work on Wednesday and Thursday. They have to read, listen to the article’s audio and complete the sheet on google classroom.

Dear Third Grade Families – 

Your child may be invited to join Mrs. Brady in her online classroom via Google Classroom. Just like during the school year Mrs. Brady will be working with students to help increase their reading abilities. 

Within Mrs. Brady’s Google Classroom she will be hosting weekly live videos to help teach and reinforce reading skills. If you are invited, please join her during that time. She will be reaching out this week via phone to connect your child with her Google Classroom.

Please have your child complete unfinished work on google classroom. By this weekend. Students need to finish writing prompts, science articles on readworks, and the economics 3 facts. Also, they have to go on Espark and finish the assigned work.

I just want to remind you that today is our first google hangout meeting at 2:30 for the students. To access the link go to google Classroom. On the top of the stream page. Click on this link and you will see the join icon. Click on it. I hope to see all of my students there!

Tomorrow I would like to have a Google Hangout meeting with my students at 2:30 pm. The link can be found on Google classroom. Google Hangout will allow students to see me and see each other. We will start having these meetings twice a week!

I posted an assignment on spark on google classroom. It is assigned for today and tomorrow.

Please make sure every student finish their assignments daily. New assignments are already posted on google classroom for tomorrow.

I just posted the daily lesson plans for this week. For Monday and Tuesday, students need to complete unfinished articles in science and Zearn, lessons 1-6. For the rest of this week, students will have to work on new material for each subject. All assignments will be posted on google classroom.

Students should be able to log on Espark, a website that provides math and reading instruction at each student’s level. Students used to work on Espark in class. They can go to espark.app then enter their username which is their ID number, and the password would be their first name.

I hope you all had a relaxing spring break. Third grade team is working on the week 4 online learning lesson plans. Starting Monday, students should work on unfinished assignments and practice reading by logging on Raz-kids and Epic.

Next week, Doug is inviting students into his home for a LIVE, 20-minute science show. He’ll answer real kids’ questions about the current situation we’re all dealing with, as well as share a few fun surprises.
