Egyptian Pharaoh Project

Remember, this is due on Monday, January 28th! Below is the rubric:

 

Task: You will research one important Egyptian pharaoh and create a poster/ PowerPoint detailing his/her accomplishment and history.

 

(Checklist) Below is a list of items that should be contained on your poster/ in your PowerPoint:

1._____ Pharaoh’s (king/queen) name— 1 point

2._____ Year’s in which your pharaoh (king/queen) reigned (had power)— 1 point

3._____ Was your pharaoh (king/queen) a part of the Old Kingdom, Middle Kingdom, New Kingdom or other of Egyptian history— 1 point

4._____ Accomplishments (ex. Pyramids, tombs, temples, monuments, territory gained, etc) — 2 points

5._____ Brief biography (if information exists: family, children, wives, husbands, how pharaoh died, etc) — 2 points

6._____ Description of sources used for information. This should be on the back of your poster and should describe where your information came from. 2 points

7._____ Minimum of 3 pictures to decorate your poster/PowerPoint, preferably one of your pharaoh and pictures of any accomplishments found — 3 points

8._____ Definition of pharaoh — 1 point

9._____ Map of Egypt showing where your pharaoh ruled — 1 point

  1. _____ Three examples of hieroglyphics — 1 point

 

5 points will be left for neatness and planning of poster as well as presentation. All space should be use well.

You will have 2 days to complete your poster in class followed by a brief presentation to the class on your findings on the third day. Posters should be neat and easy to read. Due on Monday, January 28th.
